Qalbia has a special passion for supporting immigrants, multicultural families, and individuals navigating cultural identity and life transitions. She is committed to providing a welcoming, affirming, and culturally responsive environment for people of all backgrounds, identities, and life experiences. She believes that seeking help is a sign of strength and is passionate about reducing the stigma surrounding mental health within diverse communities.
She works with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, life transitions, relationship concerns, stress, and adjustment difficulties.She especially enjoys working with children and incorporates play-based interventions to help them express emotions, build coping skills, and develop confidence in a developmentally appropriate way.
Her counseling approach is collaborative, person-centered, and strengths-based. Qalbia believes that each client is the expert in their own life and works alongside clients to identify their strengths, build resilience, and achieve meaningful goals. She incorporates trauma-informed care, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills, family systems perspectives, and play-based interventions when appropriate.
Fluent in English, Urdu, Hindi, and Pashto, Qalbia strives to create a safe and supportive space where clients feel understood, respected, and empowered to grow, heal, and thrive.
